We're leaving...

House leaders say Wednesday is the day. The countdown is on.  Battle lines have been drawn,again. And now the voters of the state will have to wait to see what happens.  With differences on all sides, legislators heading home for jobs and commitments, this doesn't have signs of ending well. Last minute focus on transportation has pushed all other bills and appropriations to the end of the line.  That raises questions about how completely these important legislative acts will be considered and reviewed.  It looks like the last days of work for this session could become a scripted event where bills will are quickly read and voted on at a frenzied pace.  This would not build credibility or confidence in our elected officials.
