I couldn't resist taking this picture Sunday in the livestock barn at the fair. I enjoyed walking through the sawdust avoiding the occasional manure pile to see the animals. Lots of young people were in the barn looking after their 4H projects. Some were feeding, some watering and quite a few were sleeping among the cattle on the last day of the fair.
The corn dogs and sno cones were great, but talking to people was the best. There was a lot of excitement and sometimes passion about the presidential campaign. On the state level, roads and gas prices topped the list.
The Canyon County Fair was a great event.
